"Clapton's Gal Gives Ex-Beau the Blues"

The man whose girlfriend dumped him for Eric Clapton reportedly says thinking about the aging rocker wooing his love makes him feel not so wonderful tonight.

"The thought of what went on behind my back eats away at me like a cancer," cuckolded Chris Losinske told the Sunday Mirror of London.

Losinske says his longtime girlfriend, 23-year-old Melia McEnery, left him with bell-bottom blues when she dumped him to be with Clapton, 56.

McEnery, an Ohio native, is due to give birth soon to Clapton's baby, his first since his four-year-old son fell from a Manhattan high-rise and died a decade ago.

"I feel so stupid for not realizing. But I honestly thought she was the girl I would spend my whole life with," Losinske added. "We'd even decided on names for our children."

It isn't the first time Clapton has been accused of luring away someone else's love. His famous song "Layla" was a love letter to Patty Harrison, wife of his best friend, Beatle George Harrison; he later married her.

Losinske claims Clapton -- who met McEnery at a 1999 Los Angeles charity auction -- would call the home the couple shared constantly to set up trysts.

Clapton took McEnery out on the town -- sending limos to pick her up and bring her to him, taking her to movie screenings and treating her at pricey L.A. eateries, the paper said.
