After all these years, CLAPTON IS STILL GOD! Wow, what a show! EC was positively tearing the roof off the place! He and his band were amazing...Among the MANY highlights were 'Old Love' with Robert Cray joining EC and the two of them trading blistering solos, also Tim Carmon's keyboard solo had everyone gasping. 'Little Queen of Spades' was the show stopper, with EC, Doyle Bramhall, and Derek Trucks all soloing until the strings on their guitars would snap off. (If you haven't heard of Derek Trucks, check him out, his slide playing was ridiculous). I loved the rip-snorting version of 'Motherless Children'...also 'Nobody Knows You' was another gem. The only real clunker was the rather perfunctory performance of 'Wonderful Tonight' not that it was bad, it just seemed out of place. A minor quibble on what was otherwise a blues guitar lovers dream!
