There is nothing compared than to take your son or daughter to an EC concert for the first time and see their expression. My son Andrew, who in his own right is a musician, saw and we couldn't believe our ears or eyes. EC put on a great show, giving his audience a taste of old, new and blues. I would have wanted to hear Bell Bottom Blues, but all in all it was a great time, and to see the master at work live. Hope they make a DVD.

I can start by only saying...what a professional EC is! I've been following Clapton since the Blues Breakers Days, saw him only one other time as Roger Water's guest lead guitarist. This was a pretty incredible night at the Garden. Not sure if I can do this, but here goes, following is the set list for this night:

Let It Rain
Hoochie Coochie Man
Walk Out In The Rain
I Want A Little Girl
I Shot The Sheriff
Me & The Devil Blues
They're Red Hot
Milkcow's Calf Blues
If I Had Possession Over Judgement Day
Kind Hearted Woman
Got To Get Better In A Little While
Have You Ever Loved A Woman
Badge
Wonderful Tonight
Layla - classic version
Cocaine

Encore - joined with Robert Randolph
Sunshine Of Your Love
I Got My Mojo Working

...sounds like this is similar if not the same to some previous dates as well....

If anyone knows who the person Eric has playing guitar with him please post it in future reviews. He's the young lefty, with the Zappa goatee, and his guitars strung upside down (might as well have been inside out too) . What a compliment to the show. Both him and Eric were getting the most out of (beating up on!) their guitars.

As for Robert Randolph and The Family Band...a friend of mine was right when he said: "don't miss the warm-up band!" Have to get their albums now.

Not much else to say other than Eric is going to be a..."Me and Mr. Clapton" someday for some young guitarist. Thank you Eric for a night I will never forget.

The concert was incredible. The man just gets better and better with time. Sticks to the playlist which I found to be the perfect mix of classic and more classic. High points were from start to finish. Higher points were Sheriff-mind blowing! Beautiful rendition of "I Want a Little Girl" EC clearly enjoyed playing from Johnson. It was an incredible night. See the man live!!!
