This is going to be a classic boot in time just for Behind the Sun, what a very underrated song that is! It was brilliant! I loved Forever Man, She's Waiting, Tangled In Love and haven't heard Blues Power for a while, very sharp sounding band also. I haven't heard anything from this line up before (live anyway), very good! Got to agree with Peter below very polished and light sound although great performances by all involved. It's just one of those CD's that you won't regret buying...

This is a perfect-quality recording (apparently made for US radio) of a concert in Richmond, Virginia in April, 1985. This show is from the 'Behind the Sun' tour, and that album dominates the proceedings here - both in terms of material performed and the group's overall sound. The inspired blues-rock groove of Clapton's late 70's/early 80's 'live' work is replaced here by a lighter, punchier, more polished blues-pop sound (even synthesisers are an integral part of the EC live sound on this CD). At first I found this a little disconcerting (some of songs sound maybe too '1980s'), but Eric is in fine voice, the band is very tight, and as ever the guitar-playing is phenomenal, so in the end this performance won me over. All in all, an excellent souvenir of the 1985 EC 'live' sound.
