I've been looking for this concert since I heard it in full on VH1 about 10 years ago. There is some real quality on this album, I feel that some of the songs are underrated such as Holy Mother and Miss You both of which have storming versions on here and if you've only heard the album versions (which I doubt) you could do worse than buy this boot. If that wasn't all there are fingers of flame solos on White Room and the BEST (bar none) single guitar version available so if like me you've worn the video of this concert thin buy this CD, Quality!

This CD is a great look into EC's constant changing styles. Though severely criticized for his boredom and musical journeys, this is proof that Clapton understands the need for change. Pete Townshend once coined the song "The Music Must Change"...well, EC must have been listening. "Layla" is as good as it gets here as EC toys with classical guitar..."Crossroads" has a building theme (as Eric's solos almost always do) that climaxes and never goes over the top. White Room is testifying by blues/rock standards. I really do not believe the electric guitar should never reach for more than this and still remain pure in its roots. "Holy Mother" is quite to the point as Eric finds his motif early in the solo. On a funny note...will somebody PLEASE tell EC that the solo he has had in his head for the last 15 years in "Sunshine Of Your Love" is "Blue Moon"!! I defy anyone including EC to prove me wrong. This really is a a great CD and as a bonus you get Phil Collins doing "In The Air Tonight". Definitely worth researching for Clapton's ever changing style.

The live action solo of this Layla version if probably the best and greatest Clapton guitar solo I have ever heard. Magical! Still looking for this one in MP3! Who can help me out?
