This should have been an official release (indeed three songs form this concert appear on 'Crossroads 2') because it is a superb recording and Eric and his band are on fire! Among the highlights are a fine version of the 'Peaches and Diesel' instrumental and heated versions of the blues classics 'Last Night' and 'Double Trouble.' The power of this performance suggests that Eric led an artistic double life in the 1970's - a laid-back JJ Cale/Don Williams disciple in the studio but an inspired blues/rock guitar god in the concert arena. |

Great Concert. This is my favourite period of Clapton career. His band sounds great. He mixes in some classic blues with some of his originals. It circulates in 2 forms. One is a single cd, but try to get the double disc. Almost 2 hours! |
