Hammersmith Odeon
"Hammersmith Odeon" - ? - SB6

This concert starts out layed back, easy and picks up the pace on the second CD. A very good sounding show from the last concert on the '74 tour.

The show is on a laid back note and the quality is quite good and enjoyable. The main problem is that in the first part of the show, each time Clapton get fierce and energetic, he slow things down which is a bit of anticlimactic. Still, the first CD features great performance of Badge and Tell the truth and lets not forget I Shot The Sheriff. Things get meaner on CD 2 with a great performance of Blues Power (Only Shadowed by the Organ....) and Key to the Highway. And it doesn't stop afterward. I was a bit disappointed of Layla. He sound bored of playing it. |

This is a must!!!! It's incredible, especially if you like some of the older EC stuff. I LOVE the version of Can't Find My Way Home, and you rarely hear Let It Grow on any live things Eric did! Plus his interaction with audience is really neat. In one part, he gets in a fight with some of the audience and calls them a loud bunch of idiots! It's great! |
