I bought this CD on the strength of the review below. They really do help when you're trying to choose. But my interest was pricked when I read about the differences in the rendition of Layla. I was quite surprised so I recommend this CD just for that. But it seems that it was a typical concert for this time period where anything could happen, top drawer Eric! |

I live in providence, and was lucky enough to have been there in row 5-center floor! E.C. was in RARE form that night! (more likely Normal for the time period!) There is some exceptional playing, and lots of on stage antics with Y. Elliman (Little Queenie comes to mind). What else can be said for the guy we ALL love? GET IT! You will LOVE IT! (Oh yeah, a special something you will not hear in any other "LAYLA" rendition - I think you will get a kick out of it!!) |
